Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below only shows reserved time periods not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor if the final exam for the course will be conducted during this time.
Before you register, make sure to go over the Goethe exam guidelines and the terms and conditions on each individual exam page. Also, make sure you make sure you register at the correct exam level.
Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam material. If you need special accommodations due to chronic disease, visual or hearing impairment or other disabilities, contact the exam center and provide a detailed documentation when registering.
Faculty can find their exam times via the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list with exam times for courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class time of the final examination weeks.
Please note that the Projected University Examination Schedule is only a guideline and that final exam dates are subject to change.

Registration
Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule could alter at any moment. Therefore, students should consult their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should also be sure to print the official list and bring it to their exam.
In addition to the exam schedule, students must familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, the terms and conditions. These are accessible on the individual exam page. When find out this here register, students agree that they accept these terms and conditions.
Exam locations will do their best to accommodate students who have special requirements. The nature and extent of these requirements should be noted on the registration and verified by a doctor's attestation. The exam locations must also adhere to confidentiality.
If a student has three examinations scheduled on the same day, it is recommended that they contact their department or instructor to schedule an alternate exam. It is possible to have three examinations on the same day. However, this could lead to a high level of stress and can affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, the professor may not be able to conduct a makeup test on a different day.
Students must review the course material prior to taking the exam and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests your ability to read and write German. The examination results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam receive the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has attained the level of language A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students are required to bring an ID that is valid for government purposes to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.
Fees
If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the examination fee. This is in addition to the cost of the course.
Practice assessments allow you to get a feel for the style of the test, the language, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your knowledge, spot gaps and improve your chances of acing the test.
It is important to note that the exam fee is not refundable. Exam results can only be electronically sent, not via phone.
