Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 permits you to drive motorized two-wheeled vehicles. It permits you to drive mopeds and small motorcycles that have an engine power of less than 11 kW.
The process to get this license is a little different than other categories. Let's take a look at the steps.
Prerequisites
You must be at least 16 years old to get a driver's license category A1. This license permits the driver to drive a light motorcycle, while A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You must also complete an emergency course and complete theoretical training that is based on the complete syllabus. Different driving schools offer this course. All driving schools follow the same curriculum, even if their costs may differ.
The practical training consists up of several driving lessons. The lessons run between 3 and 4 hours. The instructors will teach the fundamentals of your motorcycle along with the basic rules of road. The amount of time you spend training depends on your learning performance and abilities, but the curriculum stipulates a minimum of five hours of instruction on federal roads and four hours of instruction on country roads. You must also attend several special riding lessons, which are designed to improve your ability to handle difficult situations.
Anyone who wishes to drive vehicles in category C must hold an driving licence of category B or more. A person who has a category B license can continue their training for category A1 by using a simplified curriculum. However they must pass at least ten theory lessons and ten driving classes in the driving school. This is not an option for those who have an A1 category licence.
Driving License Category A1 can be a great alternative for teenagers or adults who are driving but would like to try something different. The restrictions that apply to this type of license are designed to ensure the safety of everyone involved. However, they may be removed if you prove that you have the ability to safely operate larger vehicles.
You must possess a valid medical certificate in addition to your driver's license. Depending on your health condition, you may need to pass an eye test or other tests. You may also upgrade your license by adding an endorsement. This usually involves passing a second knowledge test, and sometimes a test for skills.
Training
To get a Driving License category A1, you will need to pass both the theory and the practical test. You must also take part in theory classes and receive training. The training will teach you the basic concepts of motorcycling and traffic laws, which you will then be able to apply to your future driving. During the course, participants will become familiar with the standard test material and also the supplement that outlines the special requirements for the licence category.
After passing the theory and the practical test, you are able to drive a car up to 125cc. This includes tricycles, motorcycles and mopeds with three or four wheels. The vehicle must not weigh more than 400kg with no load or carry up to 750kg. Additionally, you must be at least 16 years old in order to be able to obtain a license in this class.
It is possible to upgrade from Category A1 to a full category A driver's licence at the age of 20 if have held a subcategory A2 for two years. This permits you to drive vehicles with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) of up to 750kg as well with subcategory A as well as A1 motorbikes. You also need a category E license for towing trailers with the maximum mass that is authorized of greater than 750kg.
You must note that you must have the consent of your guardian in order to apply for a Driving License category A1. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 test is a two-part test, which includes both an instructional and practical component. The test is designed to give you the basics of understanding and knowledge of the highway code. Both parts must be passed to receive your license. kategoria a1 can take your test either before or after completing the mandatory basic training (CBT).
The test for theory in the exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions you have to answer correctly. It is recommended to take the test with a thorough study before taking it, and enroll in a theory class at a reputable driving school or at an ongoing motorcycle training centre. Once you have passed the theory test, you can arrange a test in the practical. You must bring your valid driver's license as well as evidence of identity to the test centre, along with the vehicle that you will be using for the test. You must wear a helmet and have all necessary safety gear.
Once you've passed the practical portion of the test, you'll receive your driver's license within two weeks. It will be marked with a gold band over the expiration date, and you will be required to show it every time you are asked to show it. You cannot drive any other vehicle on your licence and you will need to renew it every two years.

Practical test
The test for the practical portion of the Driving License Category A1 exam is divided into two parts. The first one is the examiner checking and prepping your motorcycle for driving. Then, you'll be required to complete several practical tasks on a test course. These tasks include an angle start (moving off from behind a car that is parked) and several normal starts. You will be asked to do several hill starts as well turning left and right in the road. In addition, the examiner will ask you to drive in a particular direction and follow the road ahead unless instructed otherwise by radio.
The test consists of 50 multiple choice questions and you must be able to pass the test to obtain your licence. You may take the test in a training center or independently. Before you can take the test in the real world, you must have completed at minimum 5 hours of training on Federal or Country roads as well as 4 hours of training on Highways and 3 hours in the dark or dawn. These hours are in addition to the regular practice you must complete when taking motorcycle lessons.
After having passed the theory and practice tests, you will be able to obtain the Driving License Category A1. This license permits the driver to operate a motorbike with the maximum engine capacity of 125cc, and a power/weight relationship of no greater than 11.5 kW per kilogram. You can also drive a three-wheel motor vehicle (trike) with this licence provided that it has a capacity for the engine of up to 125 cc and a weight/power ratio that is not greater than 15 kW per kilogram.
Before you can get your license, you will also have to pass a medical exam. You must also show evidence of a first aid course and pass an eye test. If you are under 18 years old, you'll need the permission of the parent or legal guardian before you are able to apply for a driver's license.
